29th/30th June 2002
This was our first time out with Bill Bowen on 'Son Caliu' for some time. With the usual last-minute shuffling of names, we finished up with 11 people on board, but this included a number of newcomers to 'Son Caliu'. This was also the Penzance festival weekend, though most of us missed the fireworks display on Friday night.

Manacles, Lizard, Devon 2002
2nd-3rd June 2002
This trip replaced the planned expedition to the Farne Islands, over the Queen's Jubilee Weekend from 1st to 4th June. The feeling was generally that the Farnes were just too far to go for a long weekend.
Five of us took Bath Tub down, camping and launching from Porthkerris.

Long journey, but all arrived safely, though John and Colin had a frightening hour or so when John's trailer shed a wheel on the motorway. Last to arrive were Pete and Libby, and despite Pete's protestations that all was well and dinner would be ready in only a couple of minutes, democracy prevailed and we all decamped to the pub to eat.

7 Chill Out in the Red Sea
by John Logan, aged 32 1/2
'Twas on a sunny August morning that 7 intrepid explorers gathered in darkest Gatwick to fly on an airline no-one had ever heard of, to a faraway land steeped in history and ancient culture - only to ignore the history & culture and paddle about in the sea.
